ComedyRomance102 min
Architect Newton Davis is reeling from a broken engagement when a stranger turns his empty dream house into a home of her own. Steve Martin is Newton, a reserved architect whose carefully ordered life gets upended by Goldie Hawn’s Gwen, a con artist who moves in without his knowledge and introduces herself around town as his new wife. What starts as a sham living arrangement quickly grows into a public fiction Newton can’t easily shut down, with family, neighbors, and his ex all reacting to a marriage that doesn’t exist.
