The Man Who Knew Too Little
ActionAdventureComedyCrimeDramaThriller97 min
An American tourist in London signs up for an audience-participation theater game and is promptly mistaken for a spy in the middle of an international plot. Bill Murray is the blissfully clueless visitor, greeting chases, coded encounters, and mounting danger as if they're all part of the night's entertainment. Peter Gallagher appears as the brother whose gift sets the whole mix-up in motion, while Joanne Whalley and Alfred Molina are among the people drawn into the escalating confusion. The film folds espionage, mistaken identity, and London-set farce around Murray's deadpan belief that nothing happening to him could possibly be real.
