A Nice Indian Boy
ComedyDramaRomance99 min
Naveen, an Indian American doctor, is ready to marry Jay, the man he loves, and bring him home to meet his traditional family. The introduction comes with a twist that changes the family’s expectations: Jay is white, but he was adopted and raised by Indian parents, which both bridges and complicates the cultural gap. As wedding plans take shape, Naveen has to manage his family’s reactions, their ideas about what a marriage should look like, and the pressure of fitting two families into one celebration. Karan Soni and Jonathan Groff anchor a romance where affection, embarrassment, and family friction all arrive at the same table.
