Kneecap
ComedyDrama105 min
A Belfast schoolteacher gets pulled into an unlikely rap group when JJ crosses paths with Naoise and Liam Óg, two self-described troublemakers whose music is about to turn into something larger. The band members Móglaí Bap, Mo Chara, and DJ Próvai portray themselves as Kneecap, rapping in Irish as the trio becomes an unexpected focal point in a fight to keep the language alive. Michael Fassbender turns up in support as the film follows the group’s rise from local outliers to the center of a language-rights movement.
