CrimeDramaMysteryThriller62 min per episode
In 1889 Whitechapel, with London’s East End still reeling from the Ripper murders, H Division is tasked with keeping order in streets marked by fear, poverty, and constant violence. Matthew Macfadyen is Inspector Edmund Reid, a meticulous detective trying to restore some measure of justice alongside Jerome Flynn’s forceful Bennet Drake and the unconventional Captain Homer Jackson (Adam Rothenberg). As each new case cuts through boarding houses, brothels, markets, and alleys, the series follows police and residents alike as they live with the damage left by crimes that have changed not just individual lives, but the city around them.
