Concussion
Drama123 min
In the 2000s, forensic pathologist Bennet Omalu begins examining the brain of a former pro football player and finds signs of severe damage that standard explanations do not account for. As he follows the pattern from one case to the next, he concludes that repeated blows on the field are causing a degenerative disease in players long after their careers end. Publishing that claim turns his medical finding into a public fight. Omalu, played by Will Smith, faces resistance as the NFL pushes back against research that threatens the image of the sport, and the case grows from one doctor’s discovery into a battle over science, denial, and the cost of the game.
