After Valerie Somers vanishes, Detective Leon Zat (Anthony LaPaglia) is assigned to a missing-person case that keeps circling back to his own affair and strained marriage. Barbara Hershey is Valerie, a woman still grieving her daughter’s murder and increasingly convinced that her husband John is cheating on her. In Sydney, the investigation links four couples whose marriages are already fraying, with therapy sessions, secrets, and betrayals pushing private tensions into the open. What begins as a disappearance gradually exposes a tightly connected circle where suspicion moves from bedroom to police interview room.
