In a Paris suburb being remade by new apartments, highways, and consumer routines, a young wife and mother moves through her day as the city presses in on every part of her life. Shopping, childcare, traffic, beauty rituals, and chance encounters all become part of a portrait of how money and desire shape the people around her. Her private compromises sit beside the larger transformation of modern Paris, where even ordinary errands feel tied to advertising, class, and sex. Jean-Luc Godard follows Juliette’s fragmented routine in a film that keeps turning from street-level detail to questions about the society being built around her.
