Dance, Fools, Dance

CrimeDramaRomance80 min

Joan Crawford is Bonnie Jordan, a Chicago socialite whose family is knocked out of the upper class, sending her into newspaper work while her younger brother Rodney drifts toward bootleggers and gangsters. As Bonnie follows a murder into the city’s nightclub world, she takes an undercover turn on the dance floor and comes up against Clark Gable’s Jake Luva, a racketeer with ties to the case. The film moves between society circles, the newsroom, and late-night cabarets, keeping Bonnie caught between romance, family trouble, and the criminal world closing in around her.
