The Criminal Code

CrimeDramaRomance97 min

A young man from a respectable background lands in prison after a killing and has to learn the rules of a world built on silence, loyalty, and fear. Inside, one inmate takes him under his wing, while the prison’s stern warden tries to hold order together with discipline and a rigid personal code. When the prisoner falls for the warden’s daughter, his hope of a different life collides with the violence and suspicion around him. As pressure builds inside the cellblocks, small choices carry heavy consequences, and the line between justice, punishment, and survival starts to blur. Walter Huston and Phillips Holmes anchor this prison drama’s central conflict.
