Ladies and Gentlemen, the Fabulous Stains
ComedyDrama87 min
Diane Lane is Corrine Burns, a grieving teenager who channels her anger into The Fabulous Stains, a punk trio she forms with her friends after her mother’s death. Laura Dern and Marin Kanter round out the band as Corrine’s bleach-blond glare and sharp onstage rants start drawing attention far beyond their rough sound. As the Stains get pulled into music press, hostile crowds, and life on the road with older male acts, Corrine becomes a symbol for disaffected young women even as the group is still figuring out what it is. Punk musicians including Steve Jones and Paul Simonon turn up around the edges of the scene.
