Against the Ice
ActionAdventureDrama102 min
In 1909, two members of a Danish expedition are stranded in ice-covered Greenland and forced to press on after the rest of the team leaves them behind. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau and Joe Cole carry the film as the pair contend with the distance, the cold, and the strain of relying on each other in the Arctic. Based on a true story, Against the Ice keeps its focus on the ordeal itself: a remote ship, vast stretches of snow and rock, and the isolation of being cut off from help at the edge of the map.
