The Northman

ActionAdventureDramaFantasyThriller140 min

After his father is murdered and his mother taken by the uncle who seizes the throne, Prince Amleth grows into a Viking warrior with one purpose: avenge the king, rescue his mother, and reclaim what was stolen. Alexander Skarsgård is the adult Amleth, returning years later to settle the oath he made as a boy. Claes Bang’s usurping uncle stands between him and that revenge, while Nicole Kidman’s queen remains at the center of the family rupture. Drawn from the legend of Amleth, the film moves through the rituals, bloodshed, and stark landscapes of the Viking Age.
