Two years after surviving the Woodsboro murders, Sidney Prescott arrives at college hoping for a quieter life, but a new Ghostface killer turns campus into another crime scene. Neve Campbell is Sidney, now trying to build an ordinary routine while the attacks pull her back into the glare she thought she'd escaped. Courteney Cox's Gale Weathers and David Arquette's Dewey Riley reenter the picture as the killings spread, and Wes Craven again mixes slasher violence with sequel jokes, media satire, and a whodunit structure built around copycat fear.
