In 1884 New Mexico, a wounded young outlaw fleeing the gang leader who raised him takes shelter in La Belle, a mining town left almost entirely to women after a disaster. As Roy tries to disappear, the town’s residents weigh whether to protect a stranger who may bring violence to their door. His former mentor, Frank Griffin, rides west with his men, turning the search into a campaign of terror that reaches from isolated ranches to the edges of La Belle. With Mary Agnes and Alice Fletcher forced to prepare for what is coming, the series builds toward a showdown between a town remaking itself and the brutal code chasing Roy home.
