When They See Us

Drama73 min per episode

In 1989 New York, five Black and Latino teens from Harlem are pulled into the Central Park jogger case after police falsely accuse them of a brutal attack. Ava DuVernay follows the boys and their families through interrogations, court proceedings, and the public backlash that turns a single night into years of damage. Jharrel Jerome is part of the young ensemble at the center of the case, while Niecy Nash brings the parents’ side of the story into sharp focus as the adults around them struggle against a system already treating the boys as guilty.
