The Boxtrolls
ActionAdventureAnimationComedyFamilyFantasy97 min
Raised underground by box-wearing scavengers called Boxtrolls, an orphaned boy named Eggs heads up into Cheesebridge when exterminator Archibald Snatcher turns the town against the creatures who raised him. Isaac Hempstead Wright is Eggs, trying to protect his unusual family while learning how the world above sees them. Ben Kingsley’s Snatcher brings a fussy, scheming menace to the hunt, and Elle Fanning voices Winnie, a girl from town who becomes Eggs’s ally. The stop-motion world is packed with rattling contraptions, cardboard-box disguises, and a city where fear of the strange runs right alongside an obsession with cheese.
