ParaNorman

Norman Babcock can see and speak to the dead, a gift that leaves him isolated in the New England town of Blithe Hollow until his eccentric uncle warns him about a centuries-old witch’s curse. Kodi Smit-McPhee is Norman, and Tucker Albrizzi’s Neil is the awkward new friend who believes him when no one else does. While adults dismiss Norman’s warnings and school life keeps grinding on, ghosts, zombies, and long-buried history begin pushing into the present. The stop-motion animation gives Blithe Hollow a tactile, off-kilter look, from its creaky streets and graveyards to the uneasy mix of kid-sized embarrassment and supernatural chaos.
