Iron Monkey
ActionAdventureCrimeDrama90 min
A masked bandit called Iron Monkey robs a Chinese village’s corrupt officials and uses the money to pay for treatment for the poor, making him a folk hero and a target. Donnie Yen is Wong Kei-ying, a traveling physician and martial artist whom the governor coerces into finding the outlaw after mistaking him for the man behind the mask. Yu Rongguang’s Iron Monkey operates behind a secret identity, and the chase pulls both men into a wider conflict with the local regime. The setup folds Robin Hood-style vigilantism into martial-arts combat, with village politics and public loyalty driving the story as much as the fights.
