After the sudden death of his wife, reporter John Klein is pulled toward Point Pleasant, West Virginia, where residents describe nightmares, strange phone calls, and a towering winged figure that seems tied to premonitions of disaster. Richard Gere is Klein, following a trail of visions and warnings that keeps blurring grief, coincidence, and something harder to name. Laura Linney's local police sergeant listens with growing concern as more people in town report the same impossible encounters. What begins as a detour turns into an investigation shaped by omens, sleepless fear, and the sense that something is trying to send a message before it's too late.
