In Victorian London, the Jack the Ripper murders leave a trail of butchered women and rising panic through Whitechapel. Inspector Frederick Abberline, played by Johnny Depp, leads the investigation, using his sharp instincts and unsettling visions to trace a killer who always seems one step ahead. As the murders continue, fear closes in on the women living in the Ripper's path, including Mary Kelly, played by Heather Graham, who realizes she may be a target herself. Abberline's search pulls him through opium dens, back alleys, and the city's class divide, where each clue points toward something darker and more protected than a single madman.
