Financial TV personality Lee Gates is in the middle of his latest Wall Street circus when an angry investor storms the New York studio and turns the live broadcast into a hostage crisis. George Clooney is Lee, a smug market guru suddenly trapped under the lights, while Julia Roberts’ Patty tries to keep control from the booth as police, snipers, and network executives crowd in around them. Jack O’Connell is the investor holding the set hostage, forcing Lee to stay on camera as the standoff widens beyond the studio and questions build around the financial system that made him a TV star.
