On Patriots’ Day in Boston, a routine marathon turns into chaos when two bombs explode near the finish line. As the city reels, police, federal agents, and local officials scramble to identify the attackers before they can strike again. The film follows the first hours of confusion, the flood of witness accounts and surveillance footage, and the pressure of tracking suspects through locked-down streets and frightened neighborhoods. Amid the manhunt, a Boston police sergeant played by Mark Wahlberg moves between the blast site, command centers, and the escalating search, while investigators including Kevin Bacon race to piece together what happened and where the fugitives will go next.
