Them!

HorrorSci-Fi94 min

After nuclear testing in the New Mexico desert, a state police officer uncovers signs that something enormous is moving beneath the sand: giant mutant ants. James Whitmore is the lawman trying to make sense of the first attacks, while Joan Weldon and Edmund Gwenn arrive as a father-daughter team of entomologists called in to identify the threat. As the evidence grows too large to dismiss, the investigation widens to include the FBI, the Army, and a search that reaches from the Southwest to Los Angeles. Shot in black and white, the film turns atomic-age fears into a full-scale creature crisis.
