Using almost entirely aerial photography, Home surveys the planet as a shared home under pressure from human industry and consumption. Yann Arthus-Bertrand moves from sweeping natural landscapes to the marks of extraction and development, linking global warming, water pollution, resource depletion, and species loss as parts of the same crisis. In the English-language version, Glenn Close’s narration frames the argument in broad historical terms: after 200,000 years on Earth, humanity has upset a balance billions of years in the making and faces a narrowing window to change course.
