The Salt of the Earth
Documentary110 min
Photographer Sebastião Salgado looks back on four decades spent crossing continents and documenting conflict, famine, migration, and labor, his images tracing an ever-changing humanity. Through conversations with his son, Juliano Ribeiro Salgado, and co-director Wim Wenders, a photographer himself, the film moves through Salgado’s life and work, from international crises and mass exodus to the vast landscapes, wildlife, and remote territories that became the focus of his later expeditions.
