Claire Kubik's life collapses when FBI agents arrest her husband and reveal that the man she knows as Tom is really a Marine officer who has been AWOL for 15 years and is accused of murdering civilians in El Salvador. Ashley Judd is Claire, a successful attorney who takes his case into military court after he insists he's being framed. To challenge the charges, she turns to Morgan Freeman's Charlie Grimes, a military lawyer who knows how the system works. As Claire digs deeper, the defense opens onto false identities, old operations, and the possibility of a U.S. military cover-up.
