A respected New York psychiatrist is pulled into a criminal hunt when kidnappers take his daughter and demand a six-digit code known only to one of his most troubled patients. Michael Douglas is Dr. Nathan Conrad, forced to work under constant surveillance as Sean Bean’s Koster closes in on his family. At the center of it is Elisabeth Burrows (Brittany Murphy), a traumatized young woman in a psychiatric hospital whose fractured memory may be tied to a stolen fortune. The story moves between Conrad’s home, the city streets, and the hospital as he tries to reach Elisabeth before the kidnappers run out of patience.
