Frosty the Snowman
AnimationComedyDramaFamilyFantasyMusical25 min
A discarded silk top hat from a washed-up stage magician suddenly brings a snowman to life, and a group of schoolchildren scramble to protect the magic that made him. Frosty befriends a young girl named Karen, and when spring threatens to melt him away, the two stow away on a freight train bound for the North Pole. Voices from Jimmy Durante and Jackie Vernon carry the story as the magician trails behind, determined to reclaim his hat. Holiday songs, snowy slapstick, and a child’s-eye sense of wonder shape this 1969 animated tale.
