ComedyDramaRomance125 min
Monica Wright and Quincy McCall grow up next door to each other in Los Angeles, where pickup games, school rivalries, and family pressure shape a relationship that keeps shifting between competition and romance. Sanaa Lathan is Monica, a gifted player determined to build a future in the sport on her own terms, while Omar Epps's Quincy carries the swagger and expectations that come with being a rising star and the son of a pro athlete. As they move from childhood into high school and college basketball, love and ambition keep pulling them together and apart.
