Evil Under the Sun
CrimeDramaMysteryThriller117 min
Belgian detective Hercule Poirot is drawn into a murder at an opulent island resort after a notorious stage star is found strangled on the beach. Peter Ustinov is Poirot, moving through a tangle of jealous spouses, uneasy friendships, and polished lies with his usual immaculate calm. Around him, Diana Rigg and Maggie Smith help fill out a crowded circle of guests, hangers-on, and possible suspects. Sunlit terraces, formal dinners, and simmering resentments give the case a glossy backdrop as Poirot picks apart who at the resort had reason to want the victim dead.
