Kevin Costner is Michael “Jay” Cochran, a former Navy pilot who heads to Mexico after leaving the service, looking for little more than a break and a familiar face. The host is Anthony Quinn’s Tiburon Mendez, a wealthy, feared businessman Jay once helped on a hunting trip to Alaska. At Mendez’s sprawling estate, Jay is drawn to Miryea (Madeleine Stowe), Tiburon’s much younger wife, and the attraction quickly turns a luxurious visit into a dangerous betrayal. Tony Scott directs with sun-bleached glamour, simmering tension, and the sense that every choice is narrowing the way out.
