Portrait of Jennie

DramaFantasyMysteryRomance86 min

Struggling New York painter Eben Adams is Joseph Cotten, drifting through lean years until a chance meeting in Central Park changes the course of his work. Jennifer Jones’s Jennie Appleton is a young woman with an old-fashioned air, appearing and vanishing in ways Eben can’t quite explain, and quickly becoming the subject of his deepest artistic obsession. As his portrait takes shape, so does the mystery around Jennie, folding romance and the supernatural into a story of inspiration, longing, and a city that suddenly feels touched by something outside ordinary time.
