The Truth Beneath
DramaThriller102 min
As an election campaign reaches its final stretch, a politician’s teenage daughter disappears, turning a carefully managed public life into a private panic. Her mother refuses to wait quietly while aides and police treat the case as a problem to contain. The search pulls her through school corridors, campaign back rooms, and a web of rumors that suggests her daughter had a hidden life no one bothered to see clearly. As the hours pass, every lead carries political risk, and every attempt to protect the candidate’s image makes the truth harder to reach. Son Ye-jin and Kim Joo-hyuk anchor a story where a family crisis and a public campaign start crushing each other.
