After a taxi driver is found dead, Hyun-woo is treated as the only witness, convicted of murder, and sent to prison for 10 years. Kang Ha-neul is Hyun-woo, a young man trying to clear his name when a lawyer crosses his path through pro bono work. Jung Woo’s Jun-young takes on the case and begins reexamining the conviction, forcing both men back through the original accusations as they push for a new trial. Inspired by the 2000 Iksan murder case, the film follows a wrongful-conviction battle shaped by lost time, legal procedure, and the strain on everyone tied to the case.
