Their Finest
ComedyDramaRomanceWar117 min
During the London Blitz, Gemma Arterton is Catrin Cole, a copywriter hired by the British Ministry of Information to add “a woman’s touch” to propaganda scripts. When she’s assigned to help shape a morale-boosting film from the story of two sisters who sailed to rescue wounded soldiers, Catrin finds herself inside an all-male office that treats her as an afterthought. Sam Claflin’s Buckley, the producer steering the picture, becomes her main collaborator as the crew races to turn wartime chaos into something usable on screen, with bombs falling over London and questions of truth, image, and national morale hanging over every rewrite.
