Sons of the Desert
ComedyFamily68 min
Stan and Ollie are desperate to attend the annual convention of the Sons of the Desert, a lodge whose gatherings matter far more to them than they do to their wives. When permission is denied, they cook up a lie that sends Ollie off on a supposed sea voyage for his health while Stan agrees to keep the story straight at home. The plan works only until a shipwreck makes headlines and their wives realize the men were nowhere near the ocean. What follows is a scramble of excuses, cover stories, and panicked visits as Laurel and Hardy try to patch one deception after another without exposing the convention trip that started it all.
