Romance on the High Seas
ComedyMusicalMysteryRomance99 min
Nightclub singer Georgia Garrett is hired to impersonate a suspicious wife on an ocean cruise, while the woman she’s doubling for stays home to test her husband. Doris Day is Georgia, caught in a mix-up when that same husband sends a private detective aboard to watch “his wife.” With Jack Carson as the investigator and Janis Paige as Elvira Kent, the voyage turns on crossed signals, shipboard flirtation, and musical numbers, including the Oscar-nominated “It’s Magic.”
