Roger & Me

ComedyDocumentary91 min

When General Motors closes plants in Flint, Michigan, costing the city tens of thousands of jobs, filmmaker Michael Moore turns his camera on his hometown and on the executive he wants to confront. Moore is the on-screen guide, following the economic fallout in late-1980s Flint while repeatedly trying to secure an interview with GM chief Roger B. Smith. As workers and residents face unemployment and a shrinking local economy, the film tracks the widening distance between corporate decision-making and the people living with its consequences.
