Dark Shadows
ComedyFantasyHorror113 min
After two centuries sealed in a tomb, Barnabas Collins emerges in 1972 and heads back to Collinwood Manor, where his once-dominant family is now a nest of secrets, grudges, and decay. Johnny Depp is the aristocratic vampire, dropped into a world of rock music, modern habits, and relatives who barely resemble the empire he left behind. Michelle Pfeiffer’s Elizabeth is trying to hold the household together, while Angelique (Eva Green), the witch tied to Barnabas’s downfall, still casts a long shadow over Collinsport. Tim Burton frames it all with a cobwebbed mansion, deadpan humor, and Gothic family chaos.
