What We Do in the Shadows
ComedyHorror86 min
In a Wellington flat, a group of centuries-old vampire housemates let a documentary crew into their home as they argue over chores, fail to get into nightclubs, and try to guide a newly turned hipster through undead life. Taika Waititi is Viago, the courtly, slightly fussy center of the household, while Jemaine Clement’s Vladislav carries himself like an old-world seducer whose glory days may be behind him. Jonny Brugh rounds out the trio as Deacon, the younger rebel of the house. Everyday roommate friction collides with feeding schedules, supernatural etiquette, and run-ins with werewolves and other creatures around Wellington.
