In an alternate world where humans and vampires have fought for centuries, Paul Bettany is a veteran Warrior Priest living in obscurity inside one of the Church’s walled cities after the last Vampire War. When his niece is kidnapped, he breaks his vows and goes after the vampires responsible. Cam Gigandet joins the pursuit as the niece’s boyfriend, a sheriff from the wasteland, with Maggie Q alongside them as a former Warrior Priestess. The search pulls the story out beyond the city walls into a harsh landscape still marked by religious authority, old battles, and a new vampire threat.
