Benny & Joon
ComedyDramaRomance98 min
Joon, a young woman living with mental illness, finds an unexpected connection with Sam, an eccentric newcomer who models himself after Buster Keaton. Mary Stuart Masterson’s Joon lives under the watchful care of her brother Benny, and Johnny Depp gives Sam a loose-limbed, silent-comic presence that throws their routines off balance. As Sam and Joon grow closer, Benny has to reckon with his protective hold on his sister and the possibility that her life may not fit inside the structure he’s built for them.
