Detour
CrimeDramaThriller68 min
Al Roberts, a pianist working a New York nightclub, hitchhikes to Los Angeles to see his girlfriend and finds the trip turning against him almost immediately. Tom Neal is Al, stranded on a cross-country road that leaves him entangled with a dead body and no clear way out. Then he meets Ann Savage’s Vera, a sharp, relentless drifter who quickly becomes the most dangerous person in his path. What starts as a straight shot west narrows into a chain of bad breaks, suspicion, and desperation, with Hollywood just out of reach.
