Throw Down

ActionAdventureDrama96 min

Former judo champion Szeto Bo has drifted into gambling and running a Hong Kong bar when a younger fighter and an aspiring singer pull him back toward the sport he abandoned. Louis Koo is Bo, worn down and avoiding the mat; Tony (Aaron Kwok) barrels into his life as an eager challenger determined to face him. As an old rivalry resurfaces, Bo’s pub becomes a gathering place for judo matches, grudges, and unfinished business. Built around close-quarters throws and barroom encounters, the film follows a fallen athlete forced to reckon with the life he left behind.
