Simple Minds: Everything Is Possible
Documentary88 min
Simple Minds, the Scottish band behind the ’80s anthem “Don’t You (Forget About Me),” are traced from working-class beginnings in post-industrial Glasgow to international fame and a slot at Live Aid. Frontman Jim Kerr and guitarist Charlie Burchill look back on the group’s formation, early ambitions, and rise beyond the song many know from The Breakfast Club. Alongside their perspective, figures including Bobby Gillespie and Bob Geldof help place the band within the wider music scene around them. The film follows an unlikely path from local roots to a career that has continued onstage for decades.
