The Air I Breathe
CrimeDramaThriller95 min
After a timid gambler loses big on a horse race, his debt to a crime boss ripples through four intersecting stories of prophecy, contracts, and desperate bargains. Forest Whitaker is the man pushed toward a bank robbery, while Andy Garcia’s gangster holds power over a young pop star (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and the hit man (Brendan Fraser) who can glimpse the future. Elsewhere, Kevin Bacon’s doctor is in a race to save the woman he loves. As the characters overlap, the film ties their choices to four emotional pillars: joy, passion, grief, and love.
