Ayla: The Daughter of War

DramaWar125 min

In 1950, during the Korean War, Ismail Hacioglu is Sergeant Süleyman, a Turkish soldier who finds a half-frozen orphaned girl alone on the battlefield and smuggles her back to his army base. He names her Ayla, and Kim Seol's young survivor becomes part of daily life inside the Turkish brigade as Süleyman tries to keep her safe amid the fighting. What begins as a battlefield rescue turns into a bond between a soldier far from home and a child with nowhere else to go.
