When his wife drifts into the orbit of Kevin Bacon's smooth, dangerous drug dealer, Frank Darbo (Rainn Wilson) remakes himself as the Crimson Bolt, a homemade vigilante with a red suit, a pipe wrench, and no superpowers at all. Trying to rescue her and enforce his own blunt code of right and wrong, Frank stumbles from comic-book fantasy into bloody street-level violence. Elliot Page turns up as Libby, a volatile comic-shop clerk who becomes his eager sidekick, while Liv Tyler is the wife Frank can't let go of.
