Former London constable Nicholas Angel is shipped off to the sleepy village of Sandford, where his spotless record and big-city instincts make him a mismatch with the local force just as a run of grisly accidents begins to pile up. Simon Pegg is Angel, all clipped competence and suspicion, while Nick Frost’s Danny Butterman is the eager new partner at his side. As the deaths around Sandford start looking less accidental, Edgar Wright turns a quaint British setting into a buddy-cop mystery built around police work, a growing conspiracy, and sudden bursts of violence.
